Russian Chicken

How to cook Brussels sprouts? That is a good question. I tried them yesterday with apples and a brown sugar sauce. Palateable, but not something I will make again. I have looked at lots of recipes but none of them really peaked my interest. Maybe its a vegetable that I will not grow to enjoy!

I also prepared Russian chicken for supper yesterday, one of my favorite ways to prepare chicken. It's easy and quick, and best of all, delicious.

Russian Chicken

1- 9 oz bottle of apricot jam(preserves)
1 small bottle of russian salad dressing
1 pkg of onion soup mix
1 3/4 cups of water

Mix the above ingredients together, pour over chicken peices and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Now isn't that simple. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. The whole family likes this-- Unlike the Brussels sprouts:0)

I love brussel sprouts, but ky kids don't. I usually steam them and serve with a bit of butter on top.

As for the Russian Chicken, I made a dish a few days ago something like this. I used a tin of mandarin oranges and a can of cranberry sauce. Not bad!
