Well, we had more snow last night, there just seems to be no end! But the sun is shining today, and it seems to be a little warmer. I just came in from helping my husband with the snow clearing-- its very good exercise, and I am in the mood for comfort food, something that will warm me up! This Blueberry Dumpling recipe came from my Grandmother Young. It is one of my sons favorites, so I will get it ready for after school. It is so yummy.

Blueberry Dumplings

1 Quart( 4 cups Bluberries)
½ cup water
½ cup sugar

Heat Berries, water & sugar until berries begin to soften. Bring to a boil, and simmer 5 minutes.

1 ½ cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2/3 cup milk

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and cut in butter. Add enough milk to make a soft dough.
Drop dumplings by tbsp. into hot berries.
Cover tightly, reduce heat to simmer, and cook 15 minutes without raising lid. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.

Enjoy.
